Hickory Smoked Jowl

Pork jowl or jowl bacon is a staple of southern soul food. Its made from the cheeks of the pig and is cured/sliced just like bacon. We fry it up just like bacon and most would never know the difference. We've about decided its better than bacon, you really should give it a try.

  • This meat was raised on pasture with non-gmo feed and no antibiotics. It was also processed and inspected in USDA facility.

The term "uncured" is used by the USDA to define a natural cure. The term uncured means the cure came from a natural food source compared to chemically manufactured curing agents used in most recipes.So when you see the term "uncured" rest assured it will have the same great flavor (and better) as the original recipes that use the term cured.
